Lakes High's boys golf team opened its North Suburban Conference Prairie Division dual meet season on Wednesday with a 163-173 win over Grant at the Antioch Golf Club.
Tyler Ruefer earned medalist honors for the Eagles with a 40.
Also playing well for Lakes were Breck Hughes (41), Tyler Boardway (43) and Craig Franke (43).
Nick Guenther (41), Kurt Ray (43), Caleb Callaby (44) and Kyle McArthur (45) were the top golfers for the Bulldogs.

MARIAN CENTRAL 317, ANTIOCH 354: The Sequoits dropped their opener on Wednesday in an 18-hole non-conference dual meet.
Scott Holley led the way for Antioch with an 81, with Chris Burton contributing an 88.
The Huskies finished with an 184 total, followed by the Bulldogs at 206. Antioch counted only two scores in the event.
Top golfers for Waukegan were Lindsay Payne (41), Alex Lucas (52), Calla Rowlds (54) and Karla Gasca (59).
Kathryn Kowalczyk (69) and Tiffany Stella (73) were the leaders for the Sequoits.
WARREN 180, DEERFIELD 183: The Blue Devils edged the visiting Warriors in a non-league meet earlier this week -- sparked by a pair of 43s from Dana Lindelof and Brittany Hippensteel.
Also contributing to the victory for Warren were Carly Deblock (45) and Lauren Patnoe (49).
