No. 4 Bolingbrook completed an undefeated regular season with a 29-0 blanking of Lockport before a rain-soaked senior night crowd, Friday night at Lockport.

With the win Bolingbrook (9-0, 5-0) guaranteed itself an outright SouthWest Suburban Blue title and registered its third ever unbeaten regular season and first since 1996.

Lockport (4-5, 1-4) missed the playoffs for the third time in four years.

"9-0 is nice," Bolingbrook coach John Ivlow said. "We felt a little pressure, but we got it. But it's a new season now."

The game was delayed with 1:57 left in the first quarter for 38 minutes because of lightning. When play resumed it was all Bolingbrook. The Raiders scored on a 24 yard pass from Brad Geever to Chris Williams with 11:18 left in the second quarter for a 6-0 lead.

Williams was at it again moments later as he returned a punt 76 yards for a touchdown with 5:44 to play in the first half. Bolingbrook took the 12-0 advantage into the locker room.

"I was so mad about the other one," said Williams, who had a long punt return called back because of a penalty earlier in the half. The second time I just hit the hole and fired."

Geever capped a third quarter drive that covered 87 yards in 16 plays with a 15 yard touchdown scamper 20 seconds before the end of the third quarter. Geever, who was 6-10 passing with one interception for 62 yards and had 12 carries for 142 yards rushing, added a 27 yard TD run in the opening minute of the third quarter.

A 24-yard field goal by Nick Knutson rounded out the scoring with 7:12 to play.

The Porters turned the ball over four times, including three second half interceptions. Lockport senior running back Ryan O'Donnell finished with 16 carries for 57 yards. He finished with 942 yards rushing on the season.

"I sure wish we could have got one more win for the senior group, but unfortunately we feel short," Lockport coach Bret Kooi said. "We knew from the begging of the year that there were going to be one or two games where it was going to come down to a couple of big plays for us to get in.

"Sadly we're not that far away, but even if you are not that far away it doesn't let you continue playing."
