Quarterback Kyle Millner and running back Nick Dangles put up the points Friday night for Lincoln-Way West and the Warriors held off visiting Bradley in the fourth quarter for a 28-20 win and a share of the SouthWest Suburban Red title.

Millner was 12-of-19 for 158 yards and two touchdown passes and Dangles had 21 carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns before leaving the game in the fourth quarter after a hard tackle.

“We were striving for it all year,’’ Millner said of the title. “We finally won the conference. We’re proud of our defense and our offense stepping up.’’

Dangles raced 75 yards down the sideline to give West (7-2, 6-1) a 21-13 lead in the third quarter. Millner’s 12-yard pass to Adam Slattery put the Warriors ahead 28-13 early in the fourth quarter.

“We’re going to enjoy this one,’’ West coach Mark VanderKooi said. “(Saturday) night we’ll start to prepare for next week. We’re 7-2 with a young team. Everyone’s just ecstatic right now.’’

Millner was 4-of-5 for 57 yards to lead an 80-yard drive late in the second quarter that ended with Dangles’ 3-yard run and a 14-7 halftime lead. Defensive back Matt Sutor made two key tackles inside West’s 10-yard line on the previous possession.
