Lincoln Park coach suspended

Updated: September 14, 2011 7:50PM

Lincoln Park football coach Jerome Hildreth has been suspended for one game after the Lions had an ineligible player in uniform for last week’s game against Mather.

The Lions forfeited to Mather because a Public League official discovered the player was suited up even though he should have been serving a one-game suspension after being ejected the week before vs, Bulls Prep. The player also has been suspended by the Public League for Thursday’s game vs. Schurz at Lane.

Public League director of sports administration Calvin Davis said in an email that the case remains under review “to determine if it needs to be addressed further.” That could be the case if it’s determined that the player not only was in uniform, but actually played in the game.
