Zach Till leads Lake Zurich past Zion-Benton

Senior quarterback Zach Till scored five touchdowns as host Lake Zurich tuned up for the playoffs by routing Zion-Benton 41-3 on Friday night.
Till rushed 10 times for just 49 yards, but scored on runs of two, 16, one, three and three yards.
Lake Zurich’s other touchdown came when Chris Rantis blocked a punt and William Hussey covered the ball in the end zone.
That score made it 13-0 and the rout was on. It was 27-0 at halftime as the No. 22 Bears (7-2) wrapped up a share of the North Suburban Conference Lake Division title.
Mike Shilef rushed 11 times for 57 yards and Connor Schrader had 36 yards on five carries for the winners.
Till’s final touchdown with 5:45 left in the third quarter triggered the running clock.
Zion-Benton (3-6) got its points on a 27-yard field goal by Hannah Magiera in the final minute of the game.
