Lake Zurich 7, Conant 6: The Bears improved to 14-5, punching across a run in the bottom of the seventh to earn the victory.
Steve Cleary gave Lake Zurich a 5-0 lead with a grand-slam home run in the third, but the Bears needed a single, a one-out double by star Joey DeBernardis and a swinging-bunt single in the bottom of the seventh to secure the win.
Ryan Morrill was the winning pitcher. He got three outs after Conant tied the game with a solo homer leading off the seventh.
