Robeson 18, King 14: King put up a strong challenge, but Robeson was able to stay perfect with an 18-14 win Saturday night at Gately Stadium in Illini Land of Lincoln action.

With Robeson (4-0, 1-0) trailing 14-12 and 7:11 left in the game, Christopher Sessions scored his third touchdown on a one-yard dive.

Sessions had 16 carries for 126 yards and three touchdowns. He also scored on a 40-yard run and a one-yard dive. Devon Robinson scored on a four-yard run and Anthony Carpton scored on a 26-yard run for the Jaguars (2-2, 0-1).

“This was a hard-fought game and they came in mentally prepared and ready to play and we didn’t,” Robeson coach Fabray Collins said. “Give King a lot of credit, but also we had enough to dig down deep and get the victory.”

"I’m really proud of the effort and the intensity that we played with,” King coach Lonnie Williams said.
