Kelly

2007 record: 3-6

Coach: Angelo Hernandez (1st year)

Returning starters: 8

Players to watch:

RB/DB Dorian Perkins, 5-8, 170, Sr.

G/DT Enrique Jimenez, 5-10, 195, Sr.

Outlook: Former offensive coordinator Angelo Hernandez takes over the program. His greatest task is reversing a culture of losing. The school has not posted a winning record since 2001.

Dorian Perkins is the team's best athlete. A converted quarterback, he shifts to running back in an effort to spark the offense. Enrique Jimenez is the key to both interior lines.

Coach's take: "I think we have the chance to be a pretty good offensive team. Perkins is our best player and we need him to do a lot of things. We have pretty good speed and good skill position players.

"My biggest concern is the defense. We were awful there last year. We could not stop other teams. Defense is the key to our season. We're spending a lot of time in practice on tackling and fundamental drills.

"I don't really know much about the rest of the conference because we didn't play very many of these teams last year."--Angelo Hernandez
