Joliet Catholic splits with Marist

Joliet Catholic 19-4, Marist 4-12: Mike Nelson had seven hits on the day as No. 1 Joliet Catholic split with host Marist, winning 19-4 and falling 12-4.

 

Nelson had four hits and two RBI for JCA (23-5, 13-3) in the opener as Nick Ratajczak, Tim Bennett and Brian Budzinski all had three hits and two RBI.

Adam Lawler had three hits in Game 2 for Marist (11-15, 7-7). Nelson had three hits and an RBI for the Hilltoppers.
