Shepard Little scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to carry Schaumburg to a 44-17 victory over Hoffman Estates on Friday.
Littlešs 82-yard run with 5:33 to go in the game turned a tight contest into a blowout. The visiting Saxons led 10-7 at the half but the teams were tied 17-all going into the fourth after Frank Wadas found Joe Gricius for an 82-yard touchdown.
Anthony Iannotišs 13-yard touchdown pass to Josh Spandiary early in the fourth was the first of four fourth-quarter scores for the Saxons, who evened their record to 1-1 in the MSL West and 4-2 overall. The senior quarterback also threw a 97-yard touchdown pass to Mike Valenti on 3rd-and-11.
The loss was the fourth in a row for the Hawks (2-4, 0-2). They travel to play Conant on Friday. Schaumburg visits Barrington on Friday.
