"We wanted to play them like they were a 6-0 team," said junior Giovanni Canty, who carried five times for 117 yards and a touchdown in the first half. "Like we've done all season, we took what they gave us."
Canty opened the scoring by running 65 yards on the Rebels' second play. Quarterback Kevin Hallberg found Cody Krilich on touchdown passes of 43 and 28 yards in the first quarter and Kenneth Jackson ran for one touchdown and Marlon Harris ran for two as T.F. South held a 43-0 halftime lead. Hillcrest quarterback Breyonte Brewer threw for one touchdown and ran for another in the second half with a running clock.
