Grayslake Central improved to 27-3 and advanced to the finals of its own IHSA Class 3A sectional girls basketball tournament by routing overmatched Gordon Tech 75-25 on Tuesday in the semifinal round of play.
The home team will face Johnsburg or Wauconda at 7:30 on Thursday in the finals.
Grayslake led 29-7 after one quarter and 41-9 at halftime.
Rebekah Llorens had 20 points and 10 rebounds in less than a half for Grayslake.
Gordon Tech (14-17) won a regional last week that featured all teams from Chicago.
"We came out with the intensity level that we wanted to have," said Grayslake coach Steve Ikenn. "We executed well, we rebounded well, and we avoided some of the silly turnovers that you sometimes make in these types of games."
Skyler Jessop added 14 points for the winning Rams.
