Glenbard East 7, West Chicago 4: Eric Zwintscher singled home Bob Ryan in the top of the seventh to snap a 4-4 tie and lift Glenbard East to the quarterfinal win in the Class 4A Wheaton North Regional.
Jeremy Juhl hit a three-run homer for East (10-22-1) and Eric Knol (3-6) pitched an eight-hitter with two strikeouts and two walks.
James Eckler was 2-for-3 with a double for West Chicago (12-16).
