Geneva blows by Oak Forest

You have to be real insensitive to not feel bad for the Geneva football cheerleaders. They do a leg kick for each point their Vikings have scored. It only accumulates throughout.
A total 69 points last week must have been tough for those girls and their legs.
Because it sure was this week.
Geneva had a 27-point second quarter en route to a 69-28 drubbing over Oak Forest in the IHSA 6A Playoffs.
The host Vikings continued their impressive record of having never lost in the first round of the playoffs and they did it in emphatic fashion.
"The offensive line was awesome. I can't give them enough credit," said Geneva quarterback Matt Williams who played a part in three Viking scores. "They know their reads and know their assignments and they did a great job."
The Vikings got off to an undeniably good start.
Star running back Connor Quinn (20 carries, 131 yards, three touchdowns - all in first half) punched in from four yards to cap off an eight-play drive that went 76 yards.
On Geneva's next possession- following an Oak Forest touchdown- Quinn was again the scorer when he inched over the goal line from 4th and goal to cap an 11-play drive.
Oak Forest answered back again when junior Tevin Coleman got on the end of a 58-yard pass from senior Tim Longawa.
Quinn would score again for Geneva on their next possession from 21 yards out when he darted left after taking his carry up the middle for the Vikings.
It was a whirlwind of the first quarter and a half and Geneva's defense finally made some plays as they began to run away with it.
Longawa was incomplete on a third-and-12 and with 7:11 to go in the second quarter the game had its first punt.
Williams, the Vikings junior signal-caller, called his own number on the fourth play of their next drive as he sprinted in from 29 yards out.
A Williams 57-yard pass to teammate Steve Losos and a crafty fake field goal at the end of the half saw the home side go into the locker rooms with a commanding 41-14 advantage.
Parker Woodworth had a pair of second-half touchdown runs and teammate Dylan Nobregas also found the end zone as the Vikings methodically ran out the clock while wearing out an exhausted Bengal defense.
Geneva head coach Rob Wicinski was happy with just about everything he saw.
"Run the clock and move the chains. That's what we wanted to do and we did that. Our offensive staff put in a great game plan this week and our guys executed it. They did a really nice job."
