Lane 31, Foreman 12: The host Indians scored 17 unanswered points in the second quarter, highlighted by a 70-yard touchdown pass from Louis Negron to Louis Trinka-Pasada, en route to the Illini Red Bird win.

“Foreman made us work hard,” Lane coach Rich Rio. ‘‘They played hard, and we were able to do enough good things to win.’’

After Negron’s scoring pass, the Indians (3-1, 1-0 ) took a 14-0 lead as Thadeus Scott (20 carries, 120 yards) capped a 75-yard drive with a five-yard touchdown run. Oscar Dominguez kicked a 31-yard field goal on the last play of the first half for a 17-0 lead.

Lane’s other scores came on a three-yard run by Negron (3-of-8, 101 yards) and a five-yard run by Fredrick Williams.

Foreman (2-2, 0-1) scored on a 50-yard pass from Oscar Maldonado to Cawon Stringfellow, and a two-yard run from Clinton Young.
