Updated: October 7, 2011 11:59PM

From the first snap of the game, it seemed things were going to go Eisenhower’s way but not without a fight from Reavis.

The Cardinals prevailed 28-20 Friday night in Burbank.

Thirty seconds into the game, Leo Okeke carried the ball 74 yards but a penalty flag for a false start negated the touchdown.

The Cardinals rebounded with 8:07 left in the first quarter when Kenneth Simpson rushed for a 6-yard touchdown on first-and-goal.

Reavis responded in the second quarter with a 4-yard touchdown run from Moses Morales.

Eisenhower stormed back with 10:38 left in the second quarter when Okeke ran 31 yards for a touchdown.

Morales scored from six yards out to help Reavis tie the game at 14 with 6:14 left in the half.

The seesaw battle continued after the break. Okeke ran 35 yards for a scire with 9:35 left in the fourth quarter. The Rams responded with a 34-yard touchdown run from Simpson with 4:46 left but trailed 21-20.

Eisenhower then sealed the win with Justin Geiter’s 13-yard touchdown.
