Behind the efforts of Jordan Getzelman, Prairie Ridge crushed Dundee-Crown 55-0 in Crystal Lake on Friday night. Getzelman scored four touchdowns, rushed for 80 yards on six carries and caught three passes for 45 yards to lead the No. 20 Wolves.

“We try to score as many points as we can every week,” said Getzelman. “We have to look at all the things we need to work on and look at the things we did well and build on it.”

The Wolves (4-0, 2-0 Fox Valley Valley) defense held the Chargers offense to 3 yards in the first half, while the offense scored on 6 of 8 possessions in the first half.

Connor Greenwald (three carries, 84 yards, touchdown) opened the scoring at 2:13 into the first quarter with a 58-yard run for a touchdown on the Wolves’ first play from scrimmage. Nick Nissan (6 of 11, 151 yards and two touchdowns) connected with Nick Margiotta (two receptions for 76 yards) on a 51-yard reception to make the score 14-0.

Getzelman took over from that point, scoring four consecutive times on runs of 15, 4 and 55 yards before ending the half with a 21-yard reception from Nissan and the score 41-0.

“(Jordan) is outstanding,” said Wolves Coach Chris Schremp. “He’s made big plays in all four of our games. We try to get him the ball as much as we can.”

Kingsley Ebirim scored on a 5-yard run and Justin Lindahl ran for 53 yards and a touchdown to close out the scoring in the fourth quarter.

Matt Reedy ran for 39 yards on 14 carries for the Chargers (0-4, 0-2).

A dejected Chargers head coach Vito Andriola picks up his fourth loss in his first year and extends the Chargers winless streak to 21 games dating back to 2009. “We’re not a good football team right now,” said Andriola.
