“It was the cleanest floor routine we had all year,” Downers North coach Al Bekkedal said. “It looked very good. We had a few mistakes on our rings and high bar, but I thought we had a pretty good day.”
Schubert won the all-around with a 52.90, topping Wychocki, who was second with a 52.30. Hinsdale Central’s Tyler Leahy was third with a 51.60.

“I didn’t know I would do as well as I did. It felt real good out there.”
Schubert won the parallel bars with a 9.00. Wychocki won the pommel horse with a 9.15 and the high bar with an 8.95. Their teammate Strah Sopcic won the rings with an 8.15.
