Hinsdale Central: Lyons was the overall winner at the Hinsdale South Regional with 35 points. Jack Hostettler was the top finisher for the Lions coming in second place just seconds behind first place finisher Ben Silver of Downers Grove North. Sam Telfer finished fourth for Lyons. Max Rodrigues of Hinsdale South finished third.
Hinsdale Central finished second behind fifth place finisher Douglass Moore. Downers Grove North (third overall), Hinsdale South (fourth overall) and Downers Grove South (fifth overall) also qualified.
The individual qualifiers were Ivan Carreon (43rd place) and Carlos Solis (44th place) both of Currie.
On the girls side Hinsdale Central were the champions with 39 points inching out second place finisher Lyons (43 points). The other three qualifying schools were Benet, Downers Grove South and Downers Grove North.
Hinsdale Central's Elaine Kuckertz finished in first place while teammate Graylinn Harrson finished third. Katherine Rehn of Lyons finished in second place. Samantha Fry (fourth place) of Downers Grove Nouth and Benet's McKinzie Schulz (fifth place) rounded out the top five.
Despite not advancing as a team Hinsdale South will send Meagan De Salvo, Deirdre Rudolph, Allie Thiel, Lena Biedrzycki and Mandy Disrud to the sectional meet as the top five advancing individuals.
