CL South rolls past Chargers

Crystal Lake South quarterback Drew Ormseth attempted a 61-yard pass on the first play of the game, but senior wide receiver Kenny King dropped the perfectly thrown pass. King would make up for the drop six plays later with a 22-yard touchdown catch with just over three minutes into the game.
"We wanted to start fast," Crystal Lake South coach Chuck Ahsmann said. "That's been a big thing for us, is not starting fast and that was our goal this week."
That was the closet Dundee-Crown (0-5, 0-1) would get to their Fox Valley Conference Valley division foe Gators (5-0, 1-0) losing 40-0. King finished with three catches for 118 yards and two scores.
As good as the Crystal Lake South offense was, the defense was even better allowing only 90 total yards, 11 in the first half.
