When: 7:30 p.m. Friday at Joliet Memorial Stadium.
Outlook: From a conference standpoint, no Week 1 game means more. The winner will have the upper hand in the East Suburban Catholic Conference, which Carmel won last season. Both teams have formidable run games, with Joliet Catholic led by Northwestern recruit Malin Jones, Ty Isaac and Tyler Reitz and Carmel relying on Jordan Kos, Michael Panico and Matt Maher.
