After losing three straight, Brother Rice needed a win.
The Crusaders got it, closing the game with a 10-0 run to capture a 56-50 victory over visiting Marian Catholic Tuesday night.
“We were despeRate to break this loosing streak,” said senior forward Garrett O’Neill, who led all scorers with 24 points.
O’Neill scored 16 points in the second half for the Crusaders (12-8), including six three-pointers.
“Tonight we had really good ball movement and I was able to make the shots when they counted,” he said.

But a three-point play by Alex Majewski (17 points) put the Crusaders ahead to stay at 51-50 with 2:34 to play.
