Football: Bolingbrook blanks Lincoln-Way Central

Lincoln-Way Central knew it had a stiff challenge Friday night with high-flying Bolingbrook visiting.

No. 3 Bolingbrook indeed had the run of things, rolling to a 45-0 SouthWest Suburban Blue victory in New Lenox.

The Raiders improved to 7-1, 5-1, while the Knights dropped their sixth straight, dipping to 1-7, 0-6.

With 10:44 left in the first quarter, the Raiders got things going. A 48-yard run by Omar Stover set up a 2-yard touchdown run by C.J. Clark.

The Raiders struck again with 8:44 left in the first with a 68-yard touchdown run by Xavier Perkins.

With 23.8 seconds left in the quarter, Aaron Bailey scored on a 28-yard TD run.

The Raiders didn’t stop in the second period. With 3:11 left in the quarter, Darrien Brown scored on a 12-yard run.

Bailey added an 18-yard touchdown scamper with 1:02 left in the half.

Bolingbrook’s John Howard ran for a seven-yard touchdown with 10:30 left in the third quarter. Brown broke free for a 53-yard touchdown with 7:08 left in the third.
