The rundown: A fun opener at Plainfield South as Bolingbrook puts QB Aaron Bailey, RB D.J. Pruitt and WR Xavier Perkins on the same field with South strong-armed QB Austin Howarth and dangerous WR Dantrell Wright. Bailey is one of the most athletic players in the area and will test the defense of South and everyone else on the Bolingbrook schedule. The Raiders finished an uncharacteristic 5-5 a year ago, but veteran coach John Ivlow really likes this group and believes the Raiders can have a bounce-back season. The Cougars went 9-2 a year ago under Mike Briscoe. He retired, and Ken Bublitz, also the boys basketball coach, moved up from his assistant post to become the football coach.
