League champion Bolingbrook High School landed 10 selections on the All-Southwest Suburban Blue football team.
The Raiders picks included two juniors, quarterback Brad Geever and linebacker Marcus Lee. The rest are seniors: offensive guard Robert Fife, offensive tackle Jeff Lindsey, running back John Seigler, wide receiver Alfonzo Sylvester, defensive tackle Roosevelt Holliday, defensive end Bryan Mesik and defensive backs Alex McNulty and Brandon Westphal.
Runnerup Lincoln-Way East had eight selections, three on offense and five on defense. Running back Kevin Starke is the only junior in the group. Also from the offensive side of the ball are quarterback Spencer Stanek and lineman Nick Varchetto. From the defense, the picks were linemen Chris Narel and Uchenna Ebiringah, linebacker Pete Merenowicz and backs Ezra Thompson and Joe Kahlhammer.
Lincoln-Way Central had four all-conference choices, Lockport three and Joliet three. All are seniors.
Representing Lincoln-Way Central were outside linebacker Pete Damiani, linebacker Mike Ducharme, defensive end Zach Carlson and offensive tackle Dan Sears. The picks from Lockport were linebacker Joe Tripolitakis, running back Ryan O'Donnell and wide receiver Brandan Murphy. Joliet's selections were offensive lineman Joe Guenther, defensive lineman Nick Zamora and defensive back Wesley Powell.
Lincoln-Way North competed in the Southwest Suburban Red and had three all-conference selections in junior running back Jimmy Hermle, junior outside linebacker Jake Bice and junior linebacker Billy Chase.
The Hilltoppers' other selections on offense were linemen Nick Avery, Dan Foreman and Joe Kripp, plus running back Calvin Smith. On defense, back Nick Ratajczak, lineman Tom McGrath and linebacker Jake Stockman were chosen. Foreman and Stockman are juniors. Hudetz and Stockman also were selected in 2007.
