QB Sheridan sparkles as Tinley Park rolls

Tinley Park quarterback Kyle Sheridan ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more as the host Titans defeated Bogan 54-6 on Friday in the season opener.
Sheridan opened the scoring on Tinley Park’s first possession. He kept the ball and ran 60 yards down the sideline as the Titans took a 7-0 lead with 11:52 to play in the first quarter. Two possessions later, Sheridan hit wide receiver Brandon Wagemann with a pass at the line of scrimmage. Wagemann took the ball 32 yards for a touchdown as the Titans went up 14-0.
Sheridan capped the scoring in the first quarter with a 23-yard keeper for a score. Running back Preston Thompson scored the first of his two touchdowns with a 1-yard run as the Titans took a 27-0 lead with 10:42 to play in the second period. Thompson also scored on a 26-yard run in the third quarter.
Titans running back David Morgan added a 64-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, and Sheridan hit Tracey Brandy with an 11-yard scoring pass. Running back Gregory Wallace also scored on a 25-yard run in the second quarter as the Titans raced to a 47-6 halftime lead.
Quarterback Terrence Wafford hit Quintin Stephens with a 14-yard scoring strike for Bogan’s lone touchdown.
