Somonauk 5, Aurora Central Catholic 1: Alexa Smith pitched seven innings and gave up no earned runs for Somonauk in its 5-1 win over Aurora Central Catholic on Wednesday.

Smith (1-0) gave up three hits and hit a batter while striking out eight. Offensively for the Bobcats, Chelsea Smith went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI; her hit with the bases loaded broke a 1-1 deadlock. Also for Somonauk, Taylor Siegler was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Jordan Smith was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
