After guiding Waukegan to a 1-8 record in his first season, coach Derek Dewitt is looking for his players to make a year-round commitment to turning around the Bulldogs' fortunes.

Special teams touchdowns doom Waukegan

Waukegan Bulldogs special teams yielded a 65-yard kickoff return and an 80-yard punt return, both for touchdowns, as the home-team dropped its final contest of the year, 21-14 to the Niles West Wolves. Both Central Suburban South teams entered the game with identical 1-7 overall marks, and each team was 0-4 in conference. At least five good passes were dropped by Bulldog receivers, including one that would have kept the final drive of the game alive.
