Andrew erupted for seven hits in the 10th inning for a five-run lead and eventually a 6-4 win over St. Laurence Wednesday in a Class 4A Andrew Sectional semifinal. Eric Mason delivered the biggest blow with a two-run double.

St. Laurence 10-10, Seton 0-0: The Vikings (20-9, 12-2 Catholic White) won twice as Mike Carlson (3-0) went the distance in Game 1, yielding only one hit. Kyle Wood led the way offensively with a two-run home run. In the second game, Kevin Dineen (1-0) got the win after three innings of one-hit work. He also struck out six. Gave Carrisquillo had two hits and two RBI.

Argo tops St. Laurence

Argo 8, St. Laurence 4: Adam Villar was 2-for-4 with a solo homer, two runs scored and two RBI as the Argonauts (9-17) knocked off the host Vikings. Kenny Lundgren went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored for Argo, while Mike Buralli finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. Kyle Watson (2-2) pitched eight-hit ball over six innings for the victory.
