Matt Skrzypiec went 2-for-3 with a homer and four RBI, powering Lockport to a 12-4 win over host Plainfield South Wednesday in a Class 4A regional semifinal.

Plainfield South 26, Plainfield Central 9: Bob Hansen doubled twice, homered twice, scored three runs and drove in nine as the Cougars (18-12) coasted in the Southwest Prairie. Teammate Darell Collins was 4-for-5 with two doubles, a homer, three runs and six RBI.

Plainfield South 13, Morris 3: Darren Collins drove in four runs, while Jack McGrail and Jake Roberts had two RBI each in the Cougars' Southwest Prairie victory. Derek Wolff was the winner, fanning six and allowing one earned run in 5 1/3 innings.
