It's hard to find much good to say after your football team loses 40-7, but Peotone coach Kevin Greene was able to Friday night after his Blue Devils fell to Richmond-Burton by that score in the first round of the 4A playoffs.

Peotone's Cort Scheel ran 19 times for 149 yards and a touchdown to lead the Wildcats (2-0). Garrit Salters scored twice for Wilmington, while Colin Webb and Zach McWilliams also reached the end zone.

At Plano, Andrew Hagemaster and Norm Nevinger produced TDs for Peotone (0-1) in the I-8 crossover loss to the Reapers. Hagemaster scored on a 3-yard run in the second quarter while Nevinger registered a 5-yard TD jaunt in the fourth.
