Once the word got out about Lowell's Austin Richie, coaches from all over the area began attending his games. Thursday at Griffith was no exception. Richie scorched the Panthers for 34 points and in attendance was Hanover Central coach Rod Bollenbacher, who was diligently taking notes. Well, all the note-taking paid off Friday night as Bollenbacher's Wildcats kept Richie contained for the majority of the game as Hanover Central easily defeated Lowell 74-49.

Lowell junior Austin Richie is putting the Red Devils basketball back on the map. The 6-4 guard is currently the state's fourth leading scorer and has received Division-I interest even though he plays at a school known more for football.
