Lindblom two-way star takes Week 8 vote

Lindblom receiver/linebacker Jahliel Thurman was voted the top star of Week 8. Thurman had three touchdown catches and a 60-yard fumble return for a touchdown in a 34-22 win last Saturday over Collins.

Lindblom 14, Hirsch 12: The Eagles won in the Inter-City 2 game as Cody Bailey rushed the ball 27 times for 215 yards. John Murphy led the Lindblom (6-3, 4-3) defense with four sacks and nine tackles.

Lindblom 34, Collins 22: Lindblom senior wide receiver and linebacker Jahliel Thurman scored four touchdowns to power the Eagles (4-4, 3-3 Inter-City 2). Thurman scored on touchdown receptions covering 76, 36 and 52 yards. He also returned a fumble 60 yards as Lindbloom surprised second-place Collins (6-2, 4-2).

Lindblom 48, TEAM Englewood 0: Cody Bailey rushed 12 times for 225 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the lopsided victory for Lindblom (3-1). Robert Williams added 75 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the Eagles, and Cameron Fenton led the defense with nine tackles and an interception.
