C.J. Zuraitis took one for the team. He was chasing down a 50/50 ball with 4:57 left in the fourth overtime of Lincoln-Way Central's 2-1 victory over Marist in a 3A regional semifinal on Wednesday night. He collided with Marist keeper Michael Duddleston inside the goalie box.

Knights' odd goal beats Marist in 4 OT

After Marist goalie Michael Duddleston was given a red card in the fourth overtime, Lincoln-Way Central's Matt Ducci converted a penalty kick to give the Knights a 2-1 win Wednesday in the Class 3A Lincoln-Way North Regional. Lincoln-Way East ousted the hosts 1-0 on penalty kicks in the second semifinal.
