Once again, Payton saves St. Rita

Mark Payton picked up his third save in four games and Stefano Belmonte drove in two runs to pace St. Rita to a 4-2 win over Downers Grove South Tuesday. St. Rita advances to Wednesday's semifinals of the Phil Lawler Summer Classic.

Downers South 6, Carmel 5: Down 5-1 after 3 1/2 innings, the Mustangs (26-3-1) rallied to win it on Pat Korienek's two-run single with one out in the bottom of the seventh at Benedictine University.
