Leyden pitcher Jonathan Weaver was the first local prep player to be picked in this year's baseball draft, going to the White Sox in the 17th round Friday. Also among those selected were Conant's Austin Wright, Sandburg's Greg Billo and Rolling Meadows' Kyle Gaedele.
