an appreciation of history as well, as the Bulldogs knew they were just

It was 2004 when the Bulldogs surprised many by reaching the Elite Eight behind the arms of Joe Mandele and current Kane County Cougars reliever Kenny Smalley.

This spring, however, Batavia may have more pitching depth than ever, and it has led to an 19-5 overall record and a dominant 14-1 mark in the Western Sun Conference. Batavia has won 18 of its last 19 games overall.]]></description>
