Volleyball community remembers Avila

Back in September the Waubonsie Valley and Neuqua Valley girls volleyball teams came together to raise money for breast cancer with the inaugural "Volley for the Cure." But last Saturday the two rivals, along with Metea Valley's team, spearheaded a day at Waubonsie to remember and raise money for another, much different cause -- Jackie Avila.

Providence's Airola calls it quits

Nan Airola has announced her retirement after 37 years of teaching and coaching at Providence Catholic High School. Airola currently teaches physical education, is chair of the Physical Education Department and is the head girls volleyball coach.
