Where will they wind up?

The July evaluation period began this week and the area's
top players are spread all over the country playing in front of college
coaches. Here's a rundown of where the recruitments of the area's top 100
national seniors stand:
Anthony Davis, Perspectives
Scout Rank: 5Rivals Rank: 8
School list: Kentucky, Ohio State, Syracuse
Rumor mill: Davis' stunning rise to national prominence has
led to a classic Chicago recruitment. Which means Kentucky will likely win.
Read between the lines as you would wish. Things could change quickly with Davis though. Most coaches haven't seen him play yet. He will be a major attraction this month.
Wayne Blackshear, Morgan Park
Scout Rank: 11
Rivals Rank: 14
School list: Soft commitment to Louisville
Rumor mill: Blackshear's commitment to Louisville seems to
be much stronger than it was during the winter. It seems unlikely he will
change his mind at this point, but it isn't impossible.
Sam Thompson, Young
Scout Rank: 36
Rivals Rank: 30
School list: Florida, Ohio State, Oregon State, Georgetown,
Kansas, Marquette
Rumor mill: Florida is supposedly the leader. Marquette has
made a recent push. Apparently Kansas and Georgetown haven't offered yet.
Oregon State could be the next off the list.
Mike Shaw, De La Salle
Scout Rank: 64
Rivals Rank: 68
School list: DePaul, Illinois, Marquette, Michigan State,
Tennessee, Texas, UNLV, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Louisville, USC
Rumor mill: It will likely come down to Illinois or Michigan
State, but DePaul has made a late pitch. Illinois is the clear leader right
now. Shaw's grades are a mystery, leading to some concern among the college
coaches. None of them have seen his transcripts and Shaw hasn't taken the ACT
test, which is slightly unusual since he is entering his senior year.
Ryan Boatright, East Aurora
Scout Rank: 82
Rivals Rank: 64
School list: Miami, DePaul, Tennessee,Wake Forest, West
Virginia, Kentucky, Boston College
Rumor mill: Kentucky is Boatright's dream school, but they
already have a commitment from Marquis Teague, the top-ranked guard in the
country. DePaul is very interested. Miami has recruited him the hardest and has
been the most active. Boatright is still considered to be pretty wide open.
