Antioch 176, Richmond 186 

Eric Holst of Antioch and Jake Peterson of Richmond shared medalist honors with 41s at Spring Valley GC in this non-conference match. Kyle Sonnenburg had a 43 and Cody Mathias a 45 for the Sequoits.

Brother Rice 145, Lincoln-Way Central 152

Brother Rice's Steve Collins had the lowest round of the day with a 1-over 35 in the nonconference dual at Gleneagles Country Club in Lemont.

Chicago Christian 173 Walther Lutheran 183

Chicago Christian (3-2) took in its Private School League opener as medalist Brenden Lautenbach shot a 5-over 40 at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club's South Course in Lemont. Andrew Smolinski added a 42 for the Knights.

Grayslake North 163, Wauconda 189

Sean Humphrey strung together nine pars at Steeple Chase to shoot 36 and lead the Knights to a non-league win. Matt Bergstrom added a 41 for the winners.

Lakes 170, Vernon Hills 181

The Eagles flew past the host Cougars at White Deer Run behind the play of Craig Franke (40), Breck Hughes (42), Taylor Reuter (43) and David Reidel (45). Top players for Vernon Hills were Matt Alm (44) and Alex Erchinger (44).

Lincoln-Way East 156, Stagg 179

Medalist Brian Bullington shot an even-par 36 as Lincoln-Way East won the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Water's Edge Golf Club in Worth.

Marian Catholic 155, Marist 162

Medalist Keith Haines carded a 2-over 36 in pacing Marian Catholic (2-1, 2-1) to the East Suburban Catholic Conference win at Lincoln Oaks Golf Course in Crete. Dave Fleming added a 37 for the Spartans, Chris Formosa shot a 40 and Ryan Whitebloom a 42.

Marist (1-2, 0-2) was led by Jeff Siefert, who shot a 37. Ruben DeAvila chipped in a 40 and Tim Kendrick shot a 42.

Oak Forest 174, T.F. South 187

Medalist honors in the nonconference dual were shared by Oak Forest's Eric Tysse and T.F. South's Dominick Mazza, both of whom carded 42s at George W. Dunne National Golf Course in Oak Forest.

Brett Powers and Mike Hannafin both added rounds of 43 for Oak Forest and Alex Hallahan shot a 46. Among the other contributors for T.F. South were Kyle Zegarac (43) and Joe Ryan (47).

Rich South 199, Hillcrest 213

Zach Lam, of Rich South, was the medalist after shooting a 45 in the nonconference dual at Deer Creek Golf Club in University Park.

Tinley Park 182, Rich East 214

Trevor Bailey led all individuals with a 44 in guiding Tinley Park.

Hinsdale South triangular

Lockport shot a 155 in defeating Hinsdale South (159) and Bradley (167) in the nonconference meet at Village Greens of Woodridge. Lockport's Adam Saban, who had a hole-in-one on the fourth hole, earned medalist honors with an even-par 36. Ryan Frederick tacked on a 39 for the Porters, while Zach Yaeger and John Beissmann both had 40s.

GIRLS GOLF

Andrew 171, Marian Catholic 178

Andrew's Erin McGinnis and Marian Catholic's Mary Kate Zagotta shared medalist honors with rounds of 38 in the nonconference meet at Silver Lake Country Club's Rolling Hills Course in Orland Park.

Stevenson 188, Mundelein 209 

Stevenson is an area powerhouse and had three girls break 50 in this match. Kaitline Garsice had a 45, and Alex Kessler and Angelina Kim each shot 46. Lauren Pierpont and Colleen Unger each had 49 for the Mustangs.

Marist triangular

Brittany Elwood had a team-best score of 44 for Marist (200), which was third behind Nazareth Academy (189) and Bishop McNamara (191) in the East Suburban Catholic Conference meet at Fountain Hills Golf Club in Alsip.

Lockport triangular

Lockport's Carly Shapiro was the medalist by virtue of her 43 at Broken Arrow Golf Club in Lockport. The Porters also captured top team honors with a 192, besting nonconference opponents Naperville North (201) and Minooka (232).

GIRLS TENNIS

De La Salle 4, St. Scholastica 0

Singles wins by Kaia Powell (No. 1) and Taylor Stokes (No. 2) propelled visiting De La Salle to the GCAC victory.

Andrew 5, Oak Forest 0

Shayna Binette and Brittany Madden won at top-seeded doubles for visiting Andrew (6-0) in the nonconference dual. Among the other winners for the Thunderbolts were Shannon Surdyk and Michelle Sivak at No. 2 doubles and Brittany Sturtz and Sara Ethington at No. 3 doubles. Oak Forest fell to 3-2.

Carmel 7, Vernon Hills 0

The Corsairs did not lose a set in this non-conference match. Singles winners included Jasmine Minor, Sophia Kannenburg and Lara Kitzman. In doubles, Lauren Aguilar-Michelle Kunkler won easily. Vernon Hills' best effort was 7-5 second-set loss at No. 3 doubles by Mandi Kathuria-Sonal Singh.

Chicago Christian 5, Oak Lawn 0

Chicago Christian won the nonconference dual in Palos Heights as Katie Jaraczewski won at No. 1 singles and the duo of Sarah Ahrens and Carly Smith prevailed at No. 1 doubles. Rachel Koldenhoven added a victory at No. 2 singles for the Knights, while Lindsey Schaver and Ally Schipma were winners at No. 2 doubles.

St. Ignatius 3, Whitney Young 2

Gina Casini and Jamie Pistora prevailed at top-seeded doubles for St. Ignatius (3-1) in the nonconference dual.

Lakes 5, Grayslake North 2 

In the showcase contest, the Knights got a big win from Kelly Poggensee-Wei, who beat Jen Shea 6-1, 6-0.

Pogensee-Wei is the younger sister of former Grayslake/Grayslake Central star Lynne Poggensee-Wei. The Knights' other win came from Nicole Karczewski, who KO'd Abra Andelson 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.

Otherwise, it was all Lakes.

At No. 2 singles, Nicki Tiffany rallied to beat Heidi Johnson 1-6, 6-1, 6-1.

Doubles winners for Lakes included Alyssa Wittman-Taylor Pooley at No. 1, Jeanna Dudley-Elisa Lopez at No. 2, Jessica David-Maria Karstedt at No. 3 and Kali Miller-Emily Denman at No. 4.
