PUBLIC LEAGUE PLAYOFFS - FIRST ROUND
Hyde Park 88, Schurz 21: Hyde Park (9-8) got four standout performances en route to the easy win: Moshawn Thomas had 24 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks; Greg Jackson had 16 points; Lamont Mimms finished with 10 points and five rebounds; and Shamar Tucker had 10 points and six assists.
Lane 61, Prosser 53: Admir Suljic had 22 points and Sadzid Grahic had 13 points to help Lane (12-11) to the win.
Farragut 75, Robeson 26: Rashaun Stimage (22 points, 11 rebounds), Lavell Boyd (22 points) and Deonta Terrell (17 points, five blocks) were big for No. 21 Farragut (13-7) in the rout.
Orr 73, Powerhouse 52: No. 9 Orr (17-3) got 23 points from Deshawn King, and 18 points and eight rebounds from Devante Jones on the way to an easy win.
Taft 53, Jones 35: Tim Reamer (18 points) and John Joyce (15 points) led the way for Taft (17-7).
Perspectives-Calumet 59, Von Steuben 43: Yehosua Craig led Perspectives-Calumet (10-13) with 21 points and three steals. Terrence Sardin added 14 points, six rebounds and four blocks, and Henry Crawford had 13 points, nine rebounds and two steals.
Kenwood 54, Westinghouse 52: Kenwood got solid games from Chris Pride (16 points) and Korey Williams (14 points) to sneak past Westinghouse.
Curie 90, Amundsen 34: Cliff Alexander led the way for No. 3 Curie (21-1) with 16 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks. Lavonte Jones added 10 points and eight rebounds, and Thomas Smith had 10 points, as well.
PUBLIC LEAGUE BLUE-GREEN PLAYOFFS
Urban-Prep West 63, Urban-Prep Bronzeville 51: Steven Jackson led the way for Urban-Prep West (20-7) with 20 points and eight rebounds. Demetrius Bateast added nine points and 10 assists, as well.
Alcott 79, Rickover 49: Two double-doubles helped Alcott (18-9) to the easy win. Michael Pearson had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Anthony Frank had 17 points and 13 rebounds. Antione Green also finished with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Juarez 67, Marine 58: Major Jefferson had a major game for Juarez (8-19), finishing with 18 points, 14 rebounds and 11 blocks. Tevohn Gist also contributed 20 points, while Ying Gao had 18.
Kennedy 41, Bronzeville 36: Davonte Marks had 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Josh Terriquez had eight points and eight assists to lead Kennedy (14-4) to the win.
NON-TOURNAMENT
Hope Academy 72, Ida Crown 59: Torrance Johnson and Alex Houston both had double-doubles for No. 20 Hope Academy (19-2). Johnson had 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Houston finished with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Seton 92, Bishop McNamara 69: Mark Weems led No. 24 Seton (20-4, 8-0 Catholic South) with 24 points. J.R. Tolliver chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Crystal Lake Central 72, Woodstock North 53: Nicke Decoster had 17 points, and Corban Murphy had 12 points to help Crystal Lake Central cruise.
Grayslake North 61, Johnsburg 58: A.J. Fish was the high-scorer for Grayslake North with 23 points.
Marist 62, Tinley Park 45: Tyler Oden and Lexuas Williams had 16 points apiece for Marist (20-5).
Stevenson 56, Lake Zurich 48: Michael Fleming led Stevenson (14-9, 5-5 North Suburban Lake) with 23 points, while Jalen Brunson added 11.
Thornridge 57, Lincoln-Way North 42: Antonio Woods (18 points) and Ryan Burch (15 points) helped lead the way for Thornridge (10-11, 5-5 SouthWest Suburban Red).
U-High 41, Northridge 27: Max Rothschild scored 14 points and Mike Dowdy added 12 as the Maroons (16-10, 6-5) won in the Independent School League.
