Monday's girls basketball roundup

Ashley Thomas and Lem Atanga-McCormick combined for 37 points and 11 blocks as No. 14 Loyola beat No. 22 Mother McAuley 71-52 Monday in GCAC Red action.

Thomas finished with 19 points and four blocks for the Ramblers (7-4, 2-0), while Atanga-McCormick had 18 points and seven blocks. Meghan Holy scored 14 for Loyola.

Bolingbrook 60, Benet 22: The No. 9 Raiders (6-3) rolled as Nicosia Henry had eight points and seven rebounds. Janisha Geralds contributed six assists and two steals. 

Trinity 60, Regina 34: Taricka Linzy scored 16 and Monica Albano added 15 points as No. 10 Trinity (11-0, 3-0) won easily in the GCAC Red. 

Beecher 54, Kankakee Trinity 46: Jenna Wehling (19 points) and Kim Wolkoz (13) led the Bobcats (3-7) to the nonconference win. 

Elmwood Park 54, Morgan Park Academy 24: Michelle Tinajero scored 13 and Serina Breezer added 12 as the Tigers (7-5) rolled to the nonconference win. 

Kenwood 103, Chicago Richards 34: Sophomore guard Christina Smith scored 31 points, handed out 12 assists and had six steals for the Broncos (8-0, 5-0 Chicago Central). Also hitting double figures for Kenwood were Ninotchka Harper-Bey (21 points), Joanna Jackson (17), Devin Roberts (14) and Ashley Brown (12).

Lake View 52, Senn 37: Melanie Pagan scored 21 and Sonia Garcia had 17 points as the Wildcats (3-9) won the nonconference game. 

Lincoln Park 48, Mather 25: Nitara Williams scored 15 and Tanisha McTiller had 13 points as the Lions (10-1, 5-0) rolled in the Chicago North. 

Northside 59, Ridgewood 30: Rhianna Rey's 17 points led the Mustangs (5-4) to the nonconference win.

Peotone 45, Manteno 34: Katie Oliver scored 13 points to help lead the Blue Devils (5-6, 2-3) in the Interstate Eight home win. Junior forward Jackie Ryan finished with 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds along with six steals. Stefanie Campbell contributed nine points. The Blue Devils trailed by 10 points midway through the second quarter and were down 18-13 at halftime.

U-High 53, Holy Trinity 50: Lucy O'Keefe (15 points), Alexis Jenkins (14) and Gabby Lubin (13) led the Maroons (8-2) to the nonconference win. 

Uplift 32, Rauner 29: Ajetta Banks scored 24 to lead Uplift (2-3) to the Metro West win. Jeriwin Watson grabbed 10 rebounds for the winners.
