Smith headed to MSU

St. Charles North's Kelsey Smith has committed to Michigan State.

Smith is a 6-4 center who is regarded as one of the best prospects in Illinois and the nation.

"I did a lot of research, and I just knew it is the right place for me," Smith said.

Smith averaged a double-double last season and made the Sun-Times all-area team.
