For the first time in recent history, the Chicago area has three quarterbacks committed to major college programs: Wheaton North's Taylor Graham (Ohio State), Downers Grove South's Chandler Whitmer (Illinois) and Lake Forest's Tommy Rees (Notre Dame).

Here is how they fared in Week 4:
TAYLOR GRAHAM, WHEATON NORTH
Performance: The Ohio State recruit did not play in a 32-0 loss to Glenbard North in a DuPage Valley game on Friday. Graham reportedly suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury in Week 2.
Up next: Graham is expected to miss a couple of weeks due to the injury. The Falcons (2-2) head to West Aurora in Week 5.
TOMMY REES, LAKE FOREST
Performance: The Notre Dame commit completed 19 of 27 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown in a 31-21 loss to Stevenson in a North Suburban Lake matchup on Thursday.
Up next: The Scouts (1-3) host undefeated Warren for a conference game in Week 5. Warren, the No. 8 team in the area according to the Sun-Times, is led by running backs Greg Kennedy and Tom Lindal.
CHANDLER WHITMER, DOWNERS GROVE SOUTH
Performance: The Illinois recruit was 11-for-19 for 141 yards and two touchdowns in a come-from-behind 37-22 win over rival Downers Grove North on Friday night.
Up next: Whitmer and the Mustangs (2-2) head to Willowbrook for a West Suburban Gold game. Willowbrook is 2-0 in conference play this season.
JOHN WHITELAW, HINSDALE CENTRAL
Performance: The dual threat completed 22 of 28 passes for 421 yards and four touchdowns and rushed 19 times for 79 yards and three more scores as the Red Devils overcame a 14-point deficit to defeat Lyons 56-42 in a West Suburban Silver game Friday night. It was his 18th birthday.
