Bartlett 31, Neuqua Valley 28: Bartlett needed heroics to preserve its perfect season and a victory over host Neuqua Valley on Friday.
Neuqua Valley took a 28-24 lead with 4:55 remaining on a 16-yard pass from Alex Lincoln to Conner Yearian, who caught touchdown passes of 19 and 53 yards in the first half.
No. 9 Bartlett (7-0, 5-0 Upstate Eight) responded with an 11-play, 80-yard drive that culminated in a 42-yard touchdown pass from Josh Hasenberg to Cory Brown with 1:42 to play.
‘‘We did not use the play all night,’’ Hasenberg said. “I stepped back one step, the blocking left him open just beyond the line, and he did the rest.
The Wildcats (3-4, 2-3 Upstate Eight) responded with a drive to the Bartlett 20, but Alex VanNess intercepted Lincoln’s pass to Joshua Schaffer with three seconds left.
‘‘He [Schaffer] had the ball in his hands high in the air, and I grabbed it and took it away from him,’’ VanNess said.
The point margin was created on the Hawks’ opening drive, which ended in a 38-yard field goal by Dan Karys.

Bishop McNamara 30, De La Salle 27, OT: Jameel High scored the game-winning touchdown on a one-yard run on fourth down. Matt Lambert was 26-for-48 passing for 275 yards and two touchdowns for McNamara (4-3, 1-2 Catholic White).

Bremen 28, Shepard 13: Keithan Hendricks carried nine times for 69 yards and two touchdowns for Bremen (3-4, 1-2). Ronndell Strickland completed 10 of 16 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown. David Smith also rushed for a Braves touchdown.
Brother Rice 42, Guerin 0: The No. 15 Crusaders (6-1) raced to a 21-0 first-quarter lead and cruised to an easy home win.
After a Joe Gallagher interception early in the second quarter, Cullen Dolan extended the advantage to 28-0. Moments later, Pete Weyforth closed out the scoring in the first half with a 78-yard dash to paydirt to give Brother Rice a 35-0 cushion at the half.

Cary-Grove 24, Crystal Lake South 7: Eric Chandler ran for 155 yards and three touchdowns for No. 17 Cary-Grove (7-0, 3-0 Fox Valley Valley). The Trojans rolled up 332 yards on the ground as the Gators (5-2, 2-1) fell out of a first-place tie.
Chandler scored on runs of 69, four and 27 yards. His first touchdown put the Trojans up 7-0 with 4:20 to go in the first quarter.
Crystal Lake South came back one minute later, scoring on a 60-yard pass play from Drew Ormseth to Branden Ericksen for a 7-all tie.

Crete-Monee 42, Rich East 23: Brian Hatwood ran for four touchdowns, including a five-yarder that broke a 28-28 tie in the fourth quarter, as the host Warriors (4-3, 3-0) beat the Rockets (6-1, 2-1) in the SICA South.
"When it gets close to the goal line, I know I can finish it off for us," Hatwood said. "Our offense did a great job. All season long our defense has been outstanding. Now it was our turn.
Imari Henry (six carries, 120 yards) had touchdown runs of 26 and 75 yards for Rich East, which rallied from a 28-13 deficit in the second half.

Glenbrook North 73, Maine East 14: The Spartans (3-4, 2-1 Central Suburban North) forced Maine East (0-7, 0-3) into eight first-half turnovers en route to building a 66-0 halftime lead. Matt Chandler had a 15-yard fumble return for a touchdown and Mike Kamin had a 25-yard interception return for a score.
Kelly 40, Bogan 19: Brandon Cruz ran 12 times for 130 yards and three touchdowns as the Trojans (4-3, 3-1) bounced the Bengals in Chicago Windy City action.
Quarterback Jesus Ramirez added 75 yards on six rushes for Kelly.
Lane 27, Young 6: Young (2-5, 1-3 Illini Red Bird) didn’t have an answer for Lane’s Luis Negron, who threw three touchdown passes to lead the Indians (6-1, 4-0).
Negron hooked up with Eric Bartell on a 70-yard touchdown pass. Later, he connected on a 18-yard strike to Aaron Esparza to help Lane race out to a commanding 27-0 lead. Fredrick Williams added a touchdown run for Lane.

Marist 33, St. Patrick 14: The Redhawks (5-2, 3-2) built a 20-0 lead in the first half and held on for the East Suburban Catholic win over visiting St. Patrick (5-2, 3-2).
Marist quarterback Mike Perrish (15-for-23, 172 yards) threw four touchdown passes, including two in the first half to Christian Matthews and Colin Monnier in the first quarter.
‘‘I kind of improvised a little bit,’’ Perrish said.‘‘Most of the plays we called were for one-way, and we had to go the other way and I had to throw across the field.’’
The Redhawks’ defense created the other first-half touchdown when Jack Boyd blocked the Shamrocks’ punt and Clay Emmerich recovered the ball in the end zone.
St. Patrick quarterback Dan DiCanio had two touchdown runs.

Nazareth 30, Notre Dame 14: Nazareth (6-1, 4-1 East Subruban Catholic) bolted to a 21-0 first-quarter lead highlighted by LaSteven McKinney’s 56-yard scoring run on the third play of the game.
With six minutes to go in the first quarter, Nazareth capped a 53-yard drive with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Adam Marske to Steven Murphy. Five minutes later, Mike Williams scored on a 26-yard burst.
Marske (12-of-26, 134 yards, two TDs) and Murphy hooked up again from 13 yards out in the fourth quarter to complete the scoring against the Dons (4-3, 2-3).

Naperville Central 41, West Chicago 20: Sparked by an overpowering rushing attack, Naperville Central unleashed two weeks worth of pent up frustration by steamrolling West Chicago 41-20 on the road Friday.
Central's offense set the tone almost immediately. On their first play from scrimmage, senior running back Russell Petty busted through West Chicago's defense for a 69-yard jaunt to bring the ball to the West Chicago one-yard line, where Kukuc finished the drive with a one-yard touchdown. That gave the Redhawks a 7-0 lead.
The Redhawks (5-2, 3-2 DVC) proceeded to build a 20-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and a 34-6 advantage by halftime. They amassed 423 total yards offensively, 298 of them accounted for via the run.
Naperville North 48, West Aurora 12: No. 2 Naperville North’s double-wing offense accumulated 373 rushing yards to bury West Aurora 48-12 on Friday night at Harshbarger-Welzel Field in Naperville.
The Huskies (7-0, 5-0 DuPage Valley Conference) scored the game’s first 28 points and their defense registered seven sacks to extend their winning streak to 12 games. North running back Nick Mlady finished with 13 carries for 220 yards and two touchdowns. Fullback Jack Roberts caught a touchdown pass and ran in for another score.
West Aurora (3-4, 1-4) no longer has any margin for error. To earn their first postseason berth since 1994, the Blackhawks will have to beat West Chicago and Glenbard North, and then hope that their rugged DVC schedule has earned them enough playoff points to qualify.
Oak Forest 22, Tinley Park 6: No.24 Oak Forest overcame a slow start do defeat host Tinley Park in a South Suburban Blue game.
The Bengals (7-0, 3-0) scored the only touchdown of the first half, when Steve Freeze scored on a 35-yard run with 5:05 remaining in the first quarter.
The Bengals then turned the ball over on two of their next three possessions with an interception and a fumble.
The fumble gave Tinley Park (3-4, 1-2), the ball at the Bengals' 24 with 4:34 before halftime. The Titans drove to the Bengals' 5, but defensive end Marcus Lee stopped quarterback Ryan McMahon on a fourth-and-two to end the threat.
"I had bit on the fake to the other side," Lee said. "But I saw he still had the ball, and I chased him down."
The Bengals took a 9-0 lead after three quarters on a 42-yard field goal by Mike Williams. In the fourth quarter, quarterback Jon Wolf then scored on a one-yard run and Bobby Walsh (26 carries, 152 yards) added a 16-yard touchdown run 21 seconds later.

Riverside-Brookfield 63, Fenton 19: Riverside-Brookfield (4-3, 4-0 Metro Suburban) earned the win behind Billy VandeMerkt, who was 30-for-38 with 415 yards and eight touchdown passes.
Waubonsie Valley 37, Bloom 12: Defensive back Perry Levin recorded four interceptions to help secure Waubonsie Valley’s nonconference win over Bloom Township on Friday in Chicago Heights.
The Warriors (4-3, 3-1) won their fourth straight game on the strength of three touchdown passes from Tyler Castro to Scott Kuehn. Because of Bartlett’s 31-28 win over Neuqua, the Warriors remain in a tie for second place in the Upstate Eight Conference.
WW South 45, Wheaton North 14: The host No. 3 Tigers (7-0, 5-0 DuPage Valley) scored three times in a span of three minutes to close the half with a 35-7 lead over the Falcons (4-3, 2-3).
After quarterback Joe Furco gave them a 14-7 lead on a 24-yard run, WW South linebacker Patrick Dansdill picked off a pass and returned it 48 yards for a touchdown. On the next Falcons possession, Garrett Cook picked off a pass and ran 21 yards for a touchdown for the Tigers.
Michael Olp added a 51-yard touchdown run with 50 seconds remaining in the second half for WW South.
