Lincoln-Way Central took advantage of three Andrew turnovers in the first half to help it claim a 24-0 halftime lead en route to a 38-3 SouthWest Suburban Conference crossover win in New Lenox on Friday.

Chase Davis rushed for 205 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries while Pete Damiani gained 85 yards on 12 carries and scored three touchdowns for the Knights (2-0), who had 306 rushing yards on 42 attempts.

"Our O-line did it all today," Davis said. "We knew we had our work cut out for us this week. This is a tough Andrew team, but we came out fired up and we took advantage of that."

After Lincoln-Way Central's Scott Secor kicked a 26-yard field goal to open the scoring, Jeremy Wallace got his first of two interceptions to set up a six-yard scoring run by Davis.

The Knights increased their lead to 17-0 on a 24-yard run by Damiani in the second quarter and after Wallace got another interception, Kyle Plarski scored on a one-yard sneak.

Damiani scored from a yard out early in the fourth quarter to make it 31-0 before Andrew (1-1) got its lone points on a 23-yard field goal by Tom Serratore.

Lincoln-Way Central closed out the scoring with a 21-yard run from Damiani. Joe Rust gained 65 yards on 13 carries to lead the Thunderbolt attack.
