Bolingbrook 26, Eisenhower 6: Jamel Martin carried 10 times for 143 yards and two touchdowns to help Bolingbrook down Eisenhower in Blue Island.
The No. 10 Raiders (2-0) took a 12-0 lead on an 11-yard run by Martin and a 13-yard run by John Seigler (12 carries, 106 yards). But the Cardinals (0-2) scored on a 34-yard pass from Josh Rodriguez to Gervaise Porter six seconds before halftime.
Eisenhower then drove to the Bolingbrook 7 late in the third quarter but was stopped on downs.
Martin broke a 79-yard touchdown run three plays later to give the Raiders a 19-6 lead with 52 seconds left in the third.
‘‘I wasn’t satisfied with the score,’’ Martin said. ‘‘But our o-line stepped it up in the second half, and that’s the way we’re supposed to play ball.’’
The Raiders added a final touchdown on a 50-yard pass from Brad Geever to Al Sylvester.

Cary-Grove 38, Marian Central 17: Cary-Grove(2-0) poured it on Marian Central (1-1) in the second half as quartback Tyler Krebs and Alex Hembrey both scored twice. Krebs finished the night with 16 rushes for 170 yards.
“We just softened them up in the first half,” Krebs said. “You’ve got to give the credit to the offensive line. We just kept pounding away.”
Cary-Grove led 10-3 at the half on a Eric Chandler 1-yard run and Marc Kerrigan’s 30-yard field goal.
Marian Central quarterback Andrew Stochl, who is filling in for the injured Jon Budmayr, finished 13-for-27 for 200 yards and one touchdown. Ryan Szardinski scored on a 2-yard pass play and Corey Caevitt scored on a 51-yard run.

Geneva 34, St. Charles East 7: Geneva stole the early momentum from visiting St. Charles East (1-1) in the nonconference game.
The No. 8 Vikings stopped an apparent St. Charles East touchdown in the first quarter by Wes Allen when he fumbled the ball into the end zone.
Early in the second quarter, Geneva defensive back Sean Grady stepped into a Timothy Russell pass and returned it 77 yards for a touchdown. Grady scored on a 99-yard pick in the final seconds of the game.
‘‘That was my first pick for a touchdown,’’ Grady, a senior, said. ‘‘We had patience early and the defense played a great game.’’
Michael Ratay (27 carries, 140 yards) scored three touchdowns for th Vikings (2-0). Ratay scored on runs of one, 13 and five yards.

Hillcrest 6, Homewood-Flossmoor 2: Herb Offord ran an interception back 35 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter as the Hawks (1-1) upset the visiting Vikings (1-1).
H-F scored when Hillcrest punter Maurice Lyke took an intentional safety after recovering a bad snap.

Hinsdale Central 50, Morton 14: Rich Zajeski raced 73 yards into the end zone on the first play from scrimmage, and the Red Devils never looked back in Berwyn.
Junior quarterback John Whitelaw scored on runs of one and 15 yards. He also threw scoring strikes of 25 and 10 yards to David Banasiak. Whitelaw completed 9 of 14 passes for 128 yards and rushed 11 times for 72 yards in the first half.
Zajeski rushed three times for 99 yards as Hinsdale Central (1-1) led 43-0 at halftime vs. the Mustangs (1-1).
‘‘We expected to put a lot of points on the board,’’ Whitelaw said. ‘‘David and I were on the same page tonight. He stepped up last week in overtime, and he’s playing really well.’’

Lake View 20, Hirsch 14: Mike Arce carried nine times for 86 carries to lead Lake View (1-1). Adrian Wenda added 107 yards and 11 carries in the win.
Lincoln-Way East 45, Lincoln-Way North 7: No.9 Lincoln-Way East improved to 2-0 behind a strong performance from running back Justin Wittl. Wittl carried nine times for 153 yards and scored twice. Griffins quarterback Spencer Stanek finished 8 of 12 for 118 yards through the air. Stanek also had five carries for 28 yards and two touchdowns. Lincoln-Way East kicker Brett Thomaston made school-record 51-yard field goal in the win.
Maine South 35, Warren 21: The No. 2 Hawks (2-0) used their defense — led by Sam Chwarzynski ’s two interceptions — to get past Warren (1-1) on the road.
“Traditionally, Maine South is known for their offense, not much talk about the defense, but we proved them wrong tonight,’’ Chwarzynski said.
Vanderbilt recruit Charlie Goro completed 16 of 25 passes for 163 yards for Maine South. He also accounted for three touchdowns, including one on the ground.
Matt Perez carried the ball 14 times for 128 yards and one touchdown, and receiver/defensive back Joey Orlando caught two passes for 37 yards and two scores.
Chwarzynski’s second interception came with just over five minutes remaining in the third quarter with the Hawks up 14-7. He picked off Zach Shaw’s pass at the 2 with 5:27 left in the third quarter to set up a 78-yard drive capped by Perez’s six-yard touchdown run that gave the Hawks a 21-7 lead with 3:09 remaining.
Warren got within 28-21 with under five minutes to go, but Goro led another 78-yard drive capped by a 35-yard touchdown pass to Brendan Cronin with 2:30 to go.
Ryan Maguire led Warren with 11 catches for 130 yards and one touchdown. Shaw finished 15-of-31 for 182 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Providence 24, Fenwick 0: Providence junior running back Tim Hanrahan scored on an 89-yard touchdown run with 6:21 remaining in the third quarter to break a scoreless tie as the host Celtics (1-1) downed the No. 20 Friars (1-1). Hanrahan finished with a career-high 228 yards on 20 carries.
T.F. South 7, Kankakee 6: Quarterback Josh Titus finished 6-for-10 for 103 yards to lead T.F. North. Mike Ustanik caught the Rebels lone touchdown, a 33-yard reception.
Thornton 40, Lockport 13: Thornton scored the game’s final 33 points and came away with a convincing victory over host Lockport in a nonconference matchup.
With the game tied at 13, the No. 13 Wildcats (2-0) scored two touchdowns in the final 48 seconds of the first half. Dante Tolbert returned a punt 91 yards for a touchdown, and Spencer Tribble then returned an interception 41 yards for another score.
‘‘The punt return was just blocking — all 10 of them did their jobs,’’ Tolbert said. ‘‘This felt good. It was payback. We know if we work hard, it will pay off in the end.’’
Thornton quarterback Darren Jones (13-of-22, 136 yards, two interceptions) had touchdown runs of nine and 12 yards. Lockport (1-1) running back Ryan O’Donnell led all rushers with 115 yards on 31 carries, including a 21-yard touchdown run.

York 32, Downers South 24: Lazerick Williams scored two touchdowns as the visiting Dukes (2-0) upended the No. 19 Mustangs.
Zach Preuss and Rob Crowe added one score each for York, which took a 25-24 lead with 6:42 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Running back Scottie Williams had two touchdowns, and receiver Wes Manzer caught a touchdown pass from junior quarterback Chandler Whitmer for Downers Grove South (0-2).
