Ag. Science's Devonte Taylor returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown and the Cyclones never looked back defeating Brooks 25-6 Thursday at Stagg Stadium.
The Cyclones (2-0) scored on their first three possessions after Taylor's return. The Cyclones' second score came on a 36-yard scamper by Richard Price (seven carries, 51 yards) on their first offensive play to secure a 13-0 lead with 9:07 left in the first quarter.
Quarterback Joshua Powell (4-for-8, 46 yards) added two scores through the air with a 15-yard strike to Toma Hanson (two catches, 30 yards) and a 1-yard loft to fullback Michael McNeil. The Cyclones led 25-0 at halftime.
"We were ready to play, no doubt about it," Ag. Science coach Ken Bringe said.
Taylor led all rushers with 106 yards on nine carries and intercepted a pass on defense.
The Eagles (0-2) mustered 80 yards of total offense, including one yard in the first half.
