Waukegan's Jereme Richmond, the top sophomore basketball player in the state, has been suspended for the first three games of the season.
According to a reliable source Richmond was in a fight with a teammate, but Waukegan athletic director David Perkins would not confirm that.
"He has been suspended three games for a violation of the ethical code of behavior," Perkins said.
Richmond, an Illinois recruit, transferred from North Shore to Waukegan over the summer. His presence vaulted the Bulldogs into the preseason Super 25.
Waukegan opens the season tomorrow against Warren and fellow Illini recruit Brandon Paul at the Fremd Tournament.
