No. 4 Morton used a big third quarter to cruise past visiting Argo 74-49 Tuesday night in nonconference action.
Leading 38-27 at halftime, Morton (12-1) went on a quick 12-3 run and outscored Argo (5-8) 22-9 in the period.
Luke Scarlata finished with a team-high 16 points, while Joe Belcaster (14 popints), Raul Guzman (11 points) and Oscar Macias (10 points) also were in double figures.
“All year, that’s the way it’s been -- balanced,” Morton coach Tony Martinucci said.
Argo's Godfrey Brown finished with a game-high 22 points, while Kendale Cooper chipped in with 10.
